One hundred researchers and experts at a collaboration festival

Collaboration festival takes place on the 1st of November 2018 at Tallinn University. The festival introduces entrepreneurs to researchers to create collaborations that will benefit the enterprise and the society in general.

The programme includes elevator pitches, panel discussions and networking opportunities.

NUTIKAS (Applied research in smart specialisation growth areas) is represented at the festival.

Archimedes Foundation and Estonian Research Council organise applied research in smart specialisation growth areas (NUTIKAS) informational seminars in the beginning of October.

Seminars are part of Ettevõtlusnädal (Enterprise week):
On Monday, 1st of October in Võru.
On Tuesday, 2nd of October in Tartu.
On Wednesday, 3rd of October in Tallinn.
On Friday, 5th of October in Jõhvi.

On Tuesday, the 26th of June, the rules of procedures for NUTIKAS (Applied research in smart specialisation growth areas) were changed.

Wording in points 2.13 and 2.14 were changed.

NUTIKAS measure seminar at Tallinn University on 11th of June

A seminar for Applied research in smart specialisation growth areas (NUTIKAS) funding takes place on the 11th of June at 11:00 at Tallinn University.

Viktor Muuli (Estonian Research Council) and Tea Tassa (Archimedes Foundation) will talk about the NUTIKAS measure while entrepreneurs Kaarel Adamberg (Centre of Food and Fermentation Technologies) and Jurgo Preden (Thinnect, Inc.) will share their experiences.

The University of Tartu recognised entrepreneurial researchers

The University of Tartu recognised its researchers, who made a major contribution to the development of an entrepreneurial university. The title of entrepreneurial researcher went to Professor Tambet Teesalu a visiting professor of Cancer Research Group and the Institute of Oceanology and Fisheries of the University of Tartu Professor Toomas Saat.

Professor Tambet Teesalu has been actively involved in the development of cancer medicine and has been working effectively with the business community.
Professor Toomas Saat has entered into entrepreneurial agreements related to environmental research as a result of his research.

The volume of entrepreneurial co-operation of the University of Tartu has been significantly influenced by the 2016 Applied research in smart specialisation growth areas (NUTIKAS) funding, through which 21 projects were funded by Archimedes Foundation in 2016 and 2017. Of these, 11 are implemented in cooperation with the University of Tartu. In 2017, the University of Tartu concluded research and development contracts worth 2.2 million euros under this measure.
