Archimedes Foundation Continues to Operate
From the 1st of August, the Archimedes Foundation continued to support education, training, youth and sport as the coordinator of both the Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps programmes. The Euroguidance center, and SALTO Participation and Information Resource Centre are also part of the Foundation.
Some Archimedes Foundation departments have moved to the Education and Youth Authority (haridus- ja noorteamet), but the Erasmus+ Learning Mobility of Individuals, Strategic Partnerships, Support for Youth Workers and Youth Development, and the European Solidarity Corps, Euroguidance and SALTO Participation and Information Resource Center will stay under the Foundation at least until the new year. The specific timetable depends on the European Commission’s decisions.
From the 1st August, the Estonian Quality Agency for Higher and Vocational Education (EKKA), Academic Recognition Information Centre (Estonian ENIC/NARIC) and state and structural grants, along with the education and youth programs, joined the Education and Youth Authority.
Archimedes Foundation is an independent body which was established by the Estonian government with the objective to coordinate and implement different international programmes and projects in the field of training, education and research. The Education and Youth Authority is a governmental body under the administration of the Ministry of Education and Research, which was established on August 1, 2020.
